In the unique Kailash Valley, a remaining minority of approximately 4,000 people (known as the Wearers of Black Robes) live in three isolated but beautiful valleys known as Bumburet, Rambur, and Berir. The people of Kailash have a rich culture and are very strong-footed about their identity. These people stand out from the remaining tribes, cultures, and communities due to their distinct traditions, religious practices, and festivals. UNESCO listed Kailash culture as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage” in November 2018. The people of Kailash celebrate many festivals during the year. Still, notable festivals are three, the spring feast Chilam Joshi, in May, Uchal or Utchal, in August; and Choimus, in winter.
Chilam Joshi is a vital festival; this four-day festival is celebrated across all three valleys of Bumburet, Rumbur, and Berir. The primary purpose of this festival is that Kailash men and women can find a spouse for themselves to get married. The women wear traditional attire with lively colors whereas men wear traditional Shalwar Kameez with a waistcoat made of wool.
Uchal, also known as Uchal, is a summer Kailash festival. The festival is celebrated during annual harvesting with singing, dancing, and paying homage to nature for blessing them with good food and fruits. It is marked in the barley and wheat harvest season every year in August.
The Choimus festival is celebrated in the winter season. During the festival, purity is of the utmost important factor, and celibacy is enforced throughout the days of the event so all the people will be in pure mind when Balmain visits the valley. The week before the festival, all the people must be cleansed in ritual bathing.

Participants of all nationalities must have a valid passport with six months remaining validity and a visa for Pakistan. Visa must be applied online at https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/.

BOOKING & DEPOSITS
The trip can be reserved as an initial deposit of 30% at the time of booking. The initial deposit shall not be refunded but can be transferred for a future trip.
FINAL PAYMENT
We accept full trip cost 30 days prior to the commencement of the tour. The payments are only accepted in cash/bank transfers in a bank account. We don’t accept payments through credit cards. Please do not accept any invoice which is not generated by Discover Pakistan and sent through the official email id.
1) Cancellations must be notified in writing to Discover Pakistan or the agent through which the trip is booked. Cancellation charges shall be levied as follows:
Cancellation before 30 days or more-After a deduction of 30%, the remaining amount will be refunded. If the deposit is retained with the consent of our client no cancellation charges will be applied. The full amount will be adjusted with a future trip.
Cancellation within 2 weeks before departure –50 % of the package offer
Cancellation within one week of departure or no-show –Loss of full payment
2) There shall be no refunds if you leave the trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily, after the trip has begun. No refunds shall be made for any meals, accommodation, or services not utilized.
