Day 1: Arrival in Astore Valley and Trek to Tarishing on the 7-day Traveling Plan

Morning: A treaty breakfast in your hotel in Gilgit City and enjoy views of snow-covering mountains in the surroundings.

Arrive in Gilgit and drive to Tarashing Astore Valley, known for its breathtaking scenery and welcoming locals. It takes 5-6 hours an interesting journey passing through charming villages along the narrow Astore Valley. Overnight stay in Tarashing the last village from where the 7-day traveling plan begins. You will have a great view of the South Face of Nanga Parbat.

Settle into your accommodations in Tarishing and explore the village that gives a scenic view and an amazing cultural experience. We will arrange the porter for the next day’s trekking.

We will check all gear, rest, and prepare for the trek ahead. There is basic accommodation available in small hotel rooms as well as a camping site where we can set up our camp and overnight stay in tents.

Day 2: Tarishing to Herrligkoffer Base Camp

Morning: We will have our camping breakfast this morning in the sunshine along with the views of Nanga Parbat—the first breakfast of the 7-day traveling plan.

Start Trek: Begin your trek towards Herrligkoffer Base Camp, named after Dr. Karl Herrligkoffer, a prominent Nanga Parbat expedition leader. The day is full of fun passing through one of the lush green villages Rupal. This is why Nanga Parbat South Face Base Camp is called Rupal Face. The views and joys are overwhelming all the day.

Continue Trekking: The trail becomes more rugged as you approach Mazino Base Camp.

Evening:

Day 4: Exploration Day at Mazino Base Camp
